AIESEC in Singapore Presents

SDG Titans: Ignite the Change for Sustainable Development Goals!

27th & 28th of March 2021

PRESS RELEASE: Through this event, AIESEC in Singapore will raise awareness for Sustainable Development Goals by providing the youth of Singapore a platform to provide sustainable solutions to practical business problems.

On the 27th & 28th of March, 2021, AIESEC in Singapore will host the SDG Titans summit on a Virtual Event Platform.

SDGs are simply ways to think about how we can create a more inclusive, equitable, prosperous, and sustainable future. We are looking at 5 Ps: People, Planet, Partnerships, Prosperity and Peace. It’s about how we can eradicate extreme poverty and ensure sustainability. SDGs are the ideals that 193 countries at the United Nations in September 2015 committed to achieving together. World leaders, national organisations and local communities are working to achieve these goals by 2030. Therefore, today’s youth are the ones who will see how the SDGs are carried out. If we are not at the core of the SDGs, especially in their implementation, then the SDGs become unsustainable.

Today, the youth represent over 1.8 billion people in the world. They are increasingly engaged with the SDGs because we live in this world, we see the disparities and challenges. We can provide perspectives that other generations might not have seen. We do not need to wait until we become an “adult,” we can start to eliminate these challenges right now. We can start working on it today and continue to reduce these challenges for our future! AIESEC in Singapore has created an opportunity for these young people to develop and innovate solutions to accelerate those universal goals.

SDG Titans is a 3-week long business case competition organised by AIESEC in Singapore, focused on advancements towards 5 out of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Each team has the option to choose 1 out of the five chosen SDGs to focus on and to create business solutions that will help to advance and achieve one or more targets under the SDG.
